peaked at #36, but it was on the chart 14 weeks!
This is actually the first hit record Whitney Houston laid down vocals on.
This is not a joke, look it up, Whitney was young but already there was a buzz about Cissy Houston’s little girl who could sing like nobodies business, and Cissy was asked if her daughter could lay down some vocals on this record as a favor, and she gave her permission, but then pulled Whitney out of the business until she got older, but this is the first song she recorded and her vocals are on this record.

Possibly the most annoying intro chant of all time. We’ve all heard gangs of chav girls screaming ”oo-ah oo-ah!” on the dancefloor, it makes me want to kill them all ! The sad thing is, the rest of the song is actually legit, especially the nice instrumental mid-section.

@sporkey95 I found this one & other disco tunes on my dad’s records collection when I was 14 (9 years ago), since that time I love disco music, & this one is one of my favorites of all times (also the B-side 1st song: ”music fever”)
